***THE EDGE SPORTS BLACKWATER TRIATHLON RACE CANCELLED ***

The race committee of the Edge Sports Blackwater Triathlon have been reviewing the requirements for running our races safely under the Triathlon Ireland Covid-19 Event Guidelines.

Having reviewed numerous options both internally with the race committee and externally with the Triathlon Ireland appointed Technical Delegate. A number of issues could not be resolved. Unfortunately, these issues prevent us from running a safe and successful race within the guideline laid down by Triathlon Ireland & Sports Ireland, which has been our main goal throughout the years. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the CANCELLATION of the Edge Sports Blackwater Triathlon 2021.

Athletes who have already entered the race will receive a full refund of race entry and one-day license fees. You will receive an email from Triathlon Ireland confirming so in the coming weeks.

The race committee would like to thank you and our sponsors for the past and future support of all our races. We hope that 2022 will see a return to normality and we can get back to running our great race.
