The race, which consisted of a 3kmrun, followed by a 16km cycle and then another 3km run, attracted large numbersof competitors and among them were a number of Blackwater Triathlon Club’sfinest.  There was great success for theBlackwater Triathlon Club on the day. Ashleigh Byrne O’Brien was the first ladyhome, while her husband Richie also got in on the action, joining up withAmanda Lenihan to win the relay race. Eleanor Fennessey was first in her agegroup and one of our newer members, LiamO’Connorwas the 3rd male home. They were joined by many more club members onthe day, all of whom also did really well. It was a tough event but very wellmarshalled and organised by Hillfest with a special mention to theWatergrasshill Athletic Club and The Over The Hill Cycling Club.
