Congratulations to Blackwater Triathlon Club memberConor Bartley who competed in the Greater Manchester Marathon on Sunday the 7thof April. Conor is training for the forthcoming Ironman event in Youghal inJune, and if his performance In Manchester is anything to go by, he’s well ontrack. Over 16,000 runners started the race on Sunday morning. The race isfamous for its fast, flat and friendly route and the weather on the morning wasnear perfect for running. Conor, fresh from a week in Gran Canaria at the BTCSpring training camp, finished the 26 miles 791st out of the 13649 whocompleted the race, in an excellent time of 3:02:20. Well done to Conor andeveryone else who took part on the day.
