Killarney Half Marathon.

Congratulations to Blackwater Triathlon Club member,Kevin O’Farrell, who took part in the Gleneagle Run Killarney half marathon onSaturday the 20th July. Kevin and over 1200 other athletes, ran the 21.2 kmroute on the scenic routes through Muckross House and Killarney National Park in bright summer conditions.Despite the attention of the infamous Muckross midges Kevin finished the racewith an impressive sub 2 hour performance, crossing the finish line in 1:59:02.Well done to Kevin and all the competitors on the day. A few midge bites aretemporary. The finisher’s medal will last for ever.
