Inchidoney Summer Swim.

Following his exploits on Saturday on the Rebel Tour Cycle, Blackwater Triathlon Club member Jim Crowley and his son David went for a change of pace the following day. While most of the rebel tour participants were still in bed recovering from the rigours of the day before, Jim was up and about and heading to Inchidoney beach, just outside Clonakilty in West Cork, for a 2km charity swim. What a difference a day makes though and following the wet, windy and cold conditions on Saturday, Jim, David and the other swimmers were blessed with a sunny and balmy day. This was the third running of the Inchydoney Summer Swim and there were three distance options available to participants on the day, 2km, 1km and 500 metres. Jim and David completed the 2km swim. While sea conditions were a little choppy the water temperature was quite mild and the whole experience was very enjoyable for everyone who took part. All proceeds of the day went to fund local charities in the Clonakilty area.
