Blackwater Triathlon Club will host its annual Aquathlon on Wednesday 12th July 2017 at 7.30 pm.
The aquathlon consist of a 750m river swim followed by a 6km road run. Registration at Fermoy town park from 6.00pm. Race briefing at 7.10pm at at transition area.
It promises to be another great event open to all and there will be prizes and refreshments provided after the race.
Aquathlons are a great way to train for triathlons and gives all competitors and in particular first timers to triathlon a great chance to swim the Blackwater river course and experience transition from swim to run.
This year we will be again running the club team event for some club rivalry, with teams of up to 4 local club members to tally their times together. (Highlight this at registration and we will register the teams separately) we will have prizes for best team of entry to the Triathlon for all 4 members this should promote healthy rivalry between clubs.
Register with Triathlon Ireland or on the night with entry costing €15. Registration on the night for TI members only. ODL must be purchased on the night before of Tuesday 11th for non Race TI members
