The 3rd Great Blackwater Swim is CANCELLED:

After swimming the Great Blackwater Swim route yesterday we have no choice but to cancel this swim on safety grounds.

There is enough depth to swim it, however since the weir has broken the flow of the river up by Castlehyde has increased and changed. It is now flowing faster and more in the direction of the rock that sits above the water up towards Castlehyde House and so the decision has been made to cancel the swim on safety grounds.

All refunds have been processed for this event and should take 7 to 8 working days to be completed. If you find any issues with regards said refund, please contact us.

Please note this will not affect the The Edge Sports Blackwater Standard Triathlon and The Edge Sports Blackwater Try-a-Tri Tri / Sprint as the swim for these is much further down the river.

Our sincere apologies for having to cancel but safety first. Thank you to everyone for your support and hopefully we will be able to run the event again in 2020.
