On Sunday the 14^th of July, the annualInchydoney Summer Swim took place on Inchydoney beach just outside Clonakilty.The swim was limited to 200 swimmers across three distances, 500m 1.5km and3km. Blackwater Triathlon Club had members participating in all threedistances. First up was John Hennessy in the 500m swim which he completed in13.5min. Following the 500m swim there was a mass start for both the 1.5km and3km. Kevin O'Farrell and Harry Feeney completed the 1.5km in 18th and 30^thplaces of 81 swimmers in the category. Jim Crowley, Mary Collins and AshleighByrne O'Brien all navigated the 3km swim safely coming home in respectabletimes. All members enjoyed the swim and would highly recommend it.
